Edit Text Premium

Edit Text changes the PDF's real content — not an overlay — so it's a Premium feature. Entering Edit Text mode is blocked on Free and Pro, which show the upgrade screen instead.

What you can do​

  • Select and edit text directly in the PDF.
  • Change font size, color, and style.
  • Add new text blocks anywhere on a page.
  • Undo/redo for all edits.

Edit Text vs annotations​

  • Edit Text rewrites the document's content stream — the change is part of the PDF itself.
  • Annotations (including free-text notes) sit on top of the page as a separate, non-destructive layer. See Annotations & Markup.

Enter Edit Text from the Edit Text button in the toolbar. When you're done, save in place or as a new file — see Save Options.
